I have three teenagers. They don’t say ” I hate you” now . It’s more like ” you love him more than me or she’s the golden child” . When they are not angry or upset I take them aside and tell them how much I love them all the same very dearly and that sometimes one would have different needs than the other . They would generally agree with me . However we do have more good days than bad . I am a very easy going mother but I do still nag . But they all come to me spontaneously for cuddles even at the ages of 14 , 15 and 17 . It’s the best feeling in the world .
